Tablets are often designed to be thin, sleek, and minimal—until real-world use demands more than just aesthetics. For Lenovo, we were tasked with designing a tablet that could function effortlessly in kitchens, offices, classrooms, or mounted on a wall—without extra accessories or compromised usability.

Our solution started by reimagining the battery—not as something to conceal, but as a defining design element. We created a bold, sculptural battery compartment that serves as a multifunctional stand, allowing the tablet to rest upright on a table, hang on a wall, or be easily carried using the integrated handle. This functional form gave the device both a strong identity and effortless versatility.

But the innovation didn’t stop there. Hidden within the rear hinge of the battery stand is a compact video projector—revealed when the stand is rotated—turning any flat surface into an instant screen. This thoughtful integration extends the tablet's capabilities beyond personal use, making it perfect for spontaneous presentations, shared viewing, or educational settings.

By embracing the physical needs of the real world, we helped create a tablet that’s not just smart—it’s adaptable, expressive, and ready for anything.
