YI Technology – Invisible Intelligence

In an era where smart devices are increasingly present in our homes, the challenge is no longer just about functionality—but about how seamlessly technology can blend into our everyday lives. That’s the vision we brought to life with Yi Technology: a home assistant that disappears when not in use, yet offers powerful connectivity at your fingertips.

Working closely with Yi’s IoT team, we designed a smart screen that lives behind a mirror—merging utility and elegance in a single, understated object. At rest, the device functions as a high-quality decorative mirror, harmonizing effortlessly with any interior. But with a simple voice command or touch, it reveals a vibrant, responsive display that connects users to Yi’s ecosystem of smart home features—from security to entertainment.

This duality required careful consideration of materials, lighting, and user interaction. The mirrored surface had to be optically clear when active, yet beautifully reflective when dormant. The result is a refined home assistant that embodies a new design paradigm: smart technology that enhances, not intrudes.

With this project, we helped redefine the smart home experience—not as a showcase of gadgets, but as an elegant, integrated extension of the living space.
