Lenovo – Tough Enough for the Classroom
In the U.S. education market, school laptops face one of the toughest test environments imaginable: backpacks, bus rides, cafeteria tables, and the hands of students of every age. When Lenovo approached us, the challenge was clear—design a device that could withstand everyday school life, remain affordable, and still feel desirable.
Our solution: a laptop wrapped entirely in TPU rubber. This soft-touch material offers robust shock absorption while lending a tactile, approachable feel—turning a technical constraint into a defining feature. Gentle curves along the front and back further enhance its friendliness, reducing the visual weight and making it feel less like industrial equipment, more like a companion.
To support digital privacy in a school setting, we integrated a flippable camera—easily rotated to face the user or flipped away entirely for peace of mind.
Where ruggedness is usually a compromise, we saw opportunity. By embracing protective materials and thoughtful geometry, we delivered a laptop that’s built to last, built to learn, and built to be liked.
