GCL – Industrial Energy Storage Design

With the rapid development of solar energy, efficient energy storage has become a critical challenge. GCL, a leading energy company in China, approached us to support the visual and industrial design of their new energy storage solutions.

Our collaboration began with art direction for the devices and container systems, focusing on a clean, industrial aesthetic suited to large-scale deployment. We then developed the design of the product casing for industrial environments, balancing durability with a refined, minimal visual language.

A key part of the identity was the creation of a custom dot matrix font, carefully designed to accommodate both English and Chinese characters. This discreet typographic system reinforces the technical nature of the product while maintaining a subtle, cohesive presence across different markets.
